5月20日土曜日。子どもたちと一緒にびわの木の皮をむきむき。
「これで何ができるの？」と子どもたち。
「木の皮はね、熱いお湯で煮出すと、色が出るんだよ〜〜。その染液を使って、布を染めたり、いろいろ使えるんだよ。」と伝えると、
「へぇ〜〜！そうなんだ！」
「俺も皮剥く！」
と、次々と木の皮を小刀で削っていきました。

中学3年男子。
